Gilston Building Services
Over the last 26 years, Gilston Building Services (G.B.S.) has grown into a small, successful building company, offering a range of services – from brickwork, plastering and joinery, to drainage repairs and electrical works.
Our promise is to provide a friendly service at the highest standard. We understand that having work carried out on your property can be a demanding and potentially stressful process – our multi-skilled team comes with the knowledge and expertise needed to make sure you have the smoothest experience possible.
From homegrown roots in 1986, Gilston Building Services was established by Paul Gilston, a City & Guild trained Plasterer/Roofer with Advanced Training in Building Technology from Liverpool College of Building and Technology. After working as a sole trader carrying out alterations and improvements for private clients, the company expanded, now providing a service to Southport, Blackburn and the surrounding areas.
To ensure peace of mind and guarantee that your needs and requirements are met, we offer a design and consultation service prior to any work taking place. We work carefully to ensure that any work carried out through us is in keeping with the original property, and keep any ongoing work as clean and tidy as possible throughout.
Often, problems can arise when hiring several different firms or individual workmen to carry out separate tasks on your property – communication can be lost in the process and work deadlines can be stretched beyond your expectations and budget.
At G.B.S., our approach enables you to acquire the services of a whole range of highly skilled and qualified workers, who work as part of a close-knit team to complete all of the individual jobs required for your project.
We recognise that circumstances can change, and this means your design choices may too – we pride ourselves on adapting to changing needs and are happy to accommodate your further requirements, even once work has commenced, should this be necessary.
G.B.S are members of the following trade associations: Federation of Master Builders; Guild of Master Craftsmen; The National Federation of Builders; HETAS; Fair Trades Association; and the Southport Chamber of Commerce.
